Connect E-Sports to host Gem City Rocket League Open
Dayton, Ohio, February 2022 — Extra Life Dayton, a program of the Children’s Miracle Network, are partnering with Connect E-Sports on Wayne Ave. in Dayton to hold an online gaming tournament with proceeds benefiting Dayton Children’s Hospital.
The tournament will feature the popular eSports game Rocket League, and will be held on Friday, August 5th through Saturday, August 6th. There is a $10 entry fee and cash prizes for participants from local sponsorships. Proceeds from the charity tournament will go towards funding critical equipment and services for Dayton Children’s patients.
The matches will be broadcasted on Twitch.tv/connectesports for friends and family to watch.
Extra Life Dayton and Connect E-Sports believe the tournament will provide an opportunity for people to engage with Extra Life, and use eSports as a form of fundraising.
