Connect E-Sports Hosts U.S. Navy Esports Team

The U.S. Navy Esports Team, Goats and Glory, will be visiting Dayton’s esports center, Connect E-Sports to host a local tournament for students on July 9th from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Goats and Glory is the Navy’s first-ever competitive esports team. They are traveling to Dayton, OH to run a tournament out of Connect E-Sports, Dayton’s first esports center, with various local high schools and colleges for popular esports game, Rocket League.

All the student teams will go against each other in a bracket tournament where the tournament winner will go on to play against the U.S. Navy’s Rocket League Esports team.

The tournament will be live commentated and streamed online at www.twich.tv/connectesports.

“We’re very excited to work with the U.S. Navy’s esports team to expand the competitive esports scene here in Dayton, OH. Esports allow for younger generations to play the games they are already playing at home but in a structed environment similar to traditional sports to build teamwork skills among peers,” said owner of Connect E-Sports, Mary Baldino.
